It can be distressing when your health deteriorates but even more so if you have chosen a care home only registered to provide residential care and you then find you need to move to a different care home that is registered to provide nursing care.

This means building trust and new relationships and such a move in itself and sometimes lead to further health deterioration and the trauma should not be under estimated.

Because we are registered to provide both nursing and residential care services we can offer the important continuity and peace of mind if care needs change and require specialist nursing care services. At Northwood we need only a simple reassessment to arrange the nursing care with no inconvenience and not even a change of room.
